Sometimes, when talking to two people in love, you might ask, “How did you meet?” One of them will say, “The first time I saw her, she was sitting on a park bench, wearing a red shirt and feeding the pigeons.”
The title of my new book is referring, of course, to Jesus, and the idea of the book is, What if we could recapture our love for Jesus by seeing him again with fresh eyes? What if we could see him again for the first time?
It’s a book full of retold stories about Jesus, as if he had come to 21st century Portland instead of first century Jerusalem. I’m really proud of this book… I think it’s the best thing I’ve written yet, and I personally learned a lot and grew from working through these stories.
