Apparently Steve Harvey has a TV show and it was his birthday a while back. That’s when the producer or someone surprised him. Here’s the video.
I think that’s beautiful. We can touch some lives so deeply that the impact is so powerful years later. And I’ll be honest about something else too. I am tired of all the hate flying around ever since the Trayvon Martin verdict came down, much of it ignorant opportunism. In my world people transcend race, and it looks like that’s the case in this story too.
It’s not always easy to believe that love is more powerful than hate or that we can pour into just one person’s life and make all the difference in the world. But it is and we can. I’m so grateful for ALL the help I’ve needed. Like Steve Harvey, I’ve needed bailed out too. More than once. And I’ll never forget it.
