My Five Year Old Writes the Bible

Or, you know, something like that.

My five year old told me she was writing a Bible verse on a piece of paper last night.

Since she can only read about five words, I was curious what the scrawls on her paper said.

So I asked her to read me the Bible verse.

She said:

“Even if you are sad… even if you are different… Jesus loves you. Mark 28:7.”

Well. That may not be canon, but I thought it was pretty good.

And now, to complete the picture of my dear little child, here’s a video I took the other night at church. I was trying to get a video of her dancing, but she noticed my phone and then… well… she started acting like herself I guess.

Out of the mouths of babes! No, it may not be found in the Bible, but Jesus speaks to us in so many ways. I was feeling a little sad and lonely tonight myself, for no good or very real reason. So Myca’s verse is pretty wonderful to me!
