Friends, I have been completely absent around here, as you know, because I have been off writing a book. This weekend I polished off the first draft, and it’s with my editors even as you are reading these words.
The book spins out of this letter I wrote to a woman whose sky lantern fell in my yard.
Since that time, a lot of amazing things have happened.
I could go into a lot of detail, but hey, you could also buy the book! Ha ha ha. Seriously, it has been an adventure and an honor and I can’t wait to share all of it with you.
This last week, some of my friends came together and we did our own sky lantern launch, which was super fun, beautiful and wonderful.

Honestly, I think this is the best book I’ve ever written. I wept when I wrote it, and wept when I edited it. I hope you’ll enjoy it.
